Words Are Not the Action.

All the action in the play is in those words playwrights put in the mouths of characters in their plays.

All else is up for grabs.

But the words themselves mean nothing if they have no underpinning.  Actors don’t just say the words; the use them to move the action forward. (to be continued?)
